인플라마좀 연구 (INFLAMMASOME RESEARCH)

We still have only a very limited understanding of Chronic Inflammation on Metabolic diseases. Answering questions about this is essential for understanding the mechanistic role it plays on NLRP3 inflammasome activation by Diabetes-driven Metabolites and DAMPs (Damage Associated Molecular Patterns). We are developing molecular target and Specific inhibitors of NLRP3 inflammasome activation in macrophages.

- NLRP3 인플라마좀 이란?: NLRP3 인플라마좀은 염증복합체로서, 제2형당뇨병에서 NLRP3 인플라마좀의 활성 증가는 만성염증을 증가시켜 인슐린저항성을 유도하여, 제2형당뇨병의 제어표적으로 확인됨. 최근에는 알츠하이머치매에서 NLRP3 인플라마좀 활성에 의한 신경염증의 증가가 알츠하이머치매의 주요원인으로 밝혀짐. 위의 사진은 대식세포에서 NLRP3 인플라마좀 활성에 의해 NLRP3 인플라마좀 염증복합체 (초록색 형광) 가 세포질에서 형성된 사진임.
